Behind The Scenes At Synthony In The Domain

35,000 people were about to turn up to SYNTHONY at the Auckland Domain on February 10, 2024. Before the gates opened we had 3.5 hours to rehearse and soundcheck 531 pages of orchestral score, 2659 pages of instrumental and vocal parts, 136 stage/show cues, with 90+ performers, all as both sun and showers threatened the stage. I invited photographer Thomas Hamill along to capture our brilliant team as we worked to pull off our biggest ever show.

Shout-out to Duco Events, Dick Johnson, Sarah-Grace Williams, MJ Van Lingen, Jason Steel, Bjarne Hemmingsen, Heath Clapperton, Jacob Collins, Shelley Joughin, Auckland Philharmonia, David Squire & the Synthony Choir, Kumo Taiko, P Digsss, Tiki Taane, Peter Urlich, John Butler, Nate Dousand, Jenny B, Ella Monnery, Sam Allen, Cherie Mathieson, Ilan Kidron, Lewis McCallum, Prins, Tali, Ethan Jupe, Andy Keys, College Hill Productions, and the rest of the team.
